If your CPU temperatures increased after reinstalling your cooler or moving your system, the cooler mounting pressure may no longer be evenly distributed across the Ice Pad.
Start by shutting down the system and removing the cooler. Inspect the Ice Pad and verify that it remains centered on the processor surface and free from debris or contamination.
Next, reinstall the cooler using an even tightening pattern. Gradually tighten each mounting screw in small increments instead of fully tightening one side at a time. This helps maintain balanced pressure across the CPU surface.
After reinstalling, allow the system to warm up again under load for approximately 30–60 minutes. The Ice Pad may require a short reactivation period anytime the cooler mounting pressure changes significantly.
Also verify that:
• CPU cooler fans are spinning correctly
• Dust buildup is not restricting airflow
• Case airflow is unobstructed
• Ambient room temperatures are within normal operating conditions
Because the Carbice Ice Pad is a robust solid pad, it's ok to remount your system with the same pad. The same pad can typically be reinstalled without needing replacement, provided it remains clean and undamaged.
